A huge hit with young audiences, Adam is confident and engaging, applauded for his smooth but powerful presentation, inspiring personality and his sense of humour. But wait, there's more...
I'm Adam Brooks, the Project Manager at the Transformation Centre in Aston, Birmingham. I teach, mentor and coach. Young people are my passion and my purpose is helping them find theirs. I am dedicated to inspiring change, and motivating every young person I meet.
My first brush with purpose, came while working with the children in my parents’ church. I later went on to become a mentor and coach working in the beginning with the University of the First Age as a peer mentor, before continuing my education at the University of Central England (Now Birmingham City University),
Later, I went on to work for Connexxions (a Birmingham City Council Youth Service) where my work with young people who were not engaged in education, employment or training (NEETS) pushed me further towards my purpose of inspiring young people.
After a few years sabbatical working away from education in the corporate world, the prospect of again working in line with my purpose led me to become the Project coordinator, and later Project Manager at The Transformation Centre.
Today, as well as running the Transformation Centre, I work in schools across Birmingham delivering academic mentoring, behavioural support and in-school coaching in both Primary and Secondary school.
I also teach a weekly ‘Life Class’; a classroom based lesson that prepares children and young adults for the world that awaits them.
I specialise in challenging, motivating, educating, and empowering young, black boys to become the very best men that they can be and to open their eyes to a world of unlimited hope and possibilities, grounded in education and knowledge.
With my educators hat on, I also deliver G.C.S.E Business Studies to a group of phenomenal young people in a school at the heart of Birmingham City.
