In my work with young people I am always looking for people, stories and examples that I can use to teach them about values, principles and attitudes.
One of the many things I am blessed to have received from my parents, is a good attitude. As we converse more, you will see how much of an influence my parents are in my life. Yes, they are the ones to blame for how I am today. It’s not my fault. But seriously, I love my parents, and I’m grateful to them for the positive way in which they brought us all up.
Anyway, back to my main point. One of the things I hate to see, is a person who is gifted, talented or displays potential, but allows their attitude to stop them from delivering on their potential. Your attitude will determine your altitude. (Click Here to Tweet that) In other words, it’s my belief that the way you treat others, and go about doing what you do, will almost always relate directly to your success in whatever it is you are doing.
I want to introduce you to someone, I believe has a great story about how their attitude, created a life changing opportunity for them. Dami Olonisakin is Editor-In-Chief and Founder of Simply Oloni. Simply Oloni is an online women’s platform for relationships, fashion, beauty and lifestyle features.
Persistence = the fact of continuing in an opinion or course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition
Of all the qualities to have, I believe persistence is one of most importance. In isolation, it can break through almost any obstacle. It will get you into the building. But it will not keep you there. Persistence is a great asset to get you in a position to sell yourself, your product or business idea, but without any of the previous, you will never close the deal. Clearly not a problem in Dami’s case.
I’ve said enough for now. Dami’s story will tell you everything you need to know.opportunity, persistence, values
